      The Dartmouth Area was formed as the "Dartmouth and District Boy Scout Local Association" at a meeting on November 14, 1945.
It included
Dartmouth, Woodside, Imperoyal, Eastern Passage, Cole Harbour, Tufts Cove & Burnside, Westphal, Woodlawn, Port Wallis, Lawrencetown and Preston.  

      Today, Dartmouth Area is the second largest area out of 11 areas in Nova Scotia Council.
Currently (2010) there are  636 youth and 153 adult registered members organized into 16 Groups. Please see the map below for  the locations of  our Groups. The Dartmouth Area also has its own year-round camp,  Camp Harris  is located in Mineville.
