Scouts is
for young men and women who want to experience new adventures. These
adventures help young people become adults, follow their special
interests, get skills as leaders, and become good citizens.
Extreme Adventures
As a Scout, young adults will experience short-term
adventure-based activities such as hiking expeditions along historic
trails; cycling tours; extended water-based trips; adventure racing
(canoeing, kayaking) or traveling to other countries to participate in
humanitarian projects.
Depending upon the activity, Scouters may need to
develop skills in first aid, canoeing, kayaking, map and compass, or a
variety of other outdoor-related skills prior to the actual event. In
fact, the training is part of the adventure and a lasting legacy of your
experience.
Scouts Working Together
In Scouts, young adults learn to work in teams and
develop group skills. These are skills they will use in all other aspects
of life.
